Courtland Pettigrew

Courtland Pettigrew joined the Tough Law Firm in the summer of 2023 following the conclusion of a successful clerkship opportunity with the firm. Graduating fifteenth in a class of over two hundred, Courtland achieved marked success while pursuing his law degree from South Texas College of Law. Recipient of the Dean’s Merit Academic Scholarship and a six-time appointee to the Dean’s List, Courtland also represented South Texas’ vaunted and Nationally Ranked® Moot Court advocacy team and served as board leadership in the campus’ student-led political organizations. A consummate writer and researcher, Courtland also served on the board of South Texas’ Law Review legal journal as Research and Administrative Editor, where he bore responsibility for overseeing the published articles and written works of his fellow members. Courtland’s tenure at the Tough Law Firm follows a bar passage score in the top 2% of nationwide test-takers.

When not advising clients or preparing briefs, Courtland has a near-fanatical devotion to weightlifting and enjoys any event which calls for obscure historical or political discussion.
